Festival Premiere: Longway North (Tout en haut du monde)

Long Way North 1The much-awaited feature adventure Longway North (Tout en  haut du monde) is the 5th Be there! Corfu Animation Festival premiere.

Directed by Rémi Chayé (assistant director in   J.F. Laguionie's Le tableau) and produced by Ron Dyens (Sacrebleu Productions), the feature film Longway North  (Tout en haut du monde) narrates an adventure from times gone by.

Sasha, a young aristocratic girl growing up in Russia at the end of the 19th century, dreams of the Great North and anguishes over the fate of her grandfather Oloukine, a renowned scientist and Arctic explorer who has yet to return from his latest expedition to conquer the North Pole.

Oloukine has passed on his calling as an explorer to Sasha, but her parents, who have already made the arrangements for their daughter's marriage, do not approve in the least.

So Sasha rebels against her destiny, flees her home and resolves to go join Oloukine... a long way North..



Film producer Ron Dyens will be present during the festival premiere  (15 October).

The screening takes place with the support of the French Institute of Greece.
