Βe there! Corfu Animation Festival has the great privilege of presenting a unique tribute to the 50 years of Mafalda.Created in 1964 through the pen of the Argentinian cartoonist Quino, the 6-year-old Mafalda is the symbol of the childlike but sincere view on the world of the grown-ups. The adventures of Mafalda have been translated into 20 languages, and enjoy a continuous presence in over 50 countries.
The Mafalda 50 years exhibition has already attracted 100.000 visitors all over the world, and it is premieres in Greece via Be there! Corfu Animation Festival.
14 panels in the Greek language and educational activities accompany the exhibition will be available during the festival days (16-19 October, 19:00-24:00) at Polytechno Venue (Scholembourgou 39).
A dvd screening of selected Mafalda adventures is also part of the tributed. In the enchanting family series directed by Juan Padrón (prod: DG Producciones , 2000, 54', no dialogues),
Mafalda is a little girl who faces reality with a child's naivity and tenderness. Throughout the episodes we meet Mafalda, her parents and friends in everyday situations with all the humor that is typical of Quino.
