An important distinction for Be there! Corfu Animation Festival.


The artistic director of the festival, Vassilis Kroustallis, has recently been selected to become the Ambassador for Greece at the new Εuropean Animation Awards.

This is an important initiative and collaboration of fine animation animation from 40 European countries. Peter Lord (Aardman), Didier Brunner (Kirikou and the Sorceress, The Triplets of Belleville) are all part of this effort.

Τhe Émile awards aim to become the European Animation Oscars (or, even better, like the Annies), with participation and voting rights for all animation porofessionals.

Each country has a unique representative and contact (called the "Ambassador") to co-ordinate the whole effort and represent EAA at festivals, press and public institutions of the country.
