"Plugin" is the story of a mechanical city in which every citizen is a part of the city
itself, responsible for generating lights by connecting the male and female parts of the
mechanism. Everyone seems to fit into this perfect puzzle except the main character,
G-O, a man who does not match the rest of his world. G-O finally finds his perfect
match – another man – but the City Authority try to stop this uncommon union. It is
up to G-O and Ico to show their city that every connection is after all part of the same
energy - love.

BIOGRAPHY


Joanna Adamska –CG artist and animator. Recent graduate of University of the Arts London: Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design specializing in 3d character animation. Before considering animation as a career path the creativity had been mainly her way of self-expression and favourite pastime. She developed her artistic abilities mainly by self-training and taking part in small commissions for paintings and drawings such us: portraits, caricatures, murals. She also contributed her artwork to several public exhibitions and events in Poland. While she experimented with different artistic media, computer has become her favourite means for creativity that moved her interest into CG animation and education in that field.

A mass of slug-like creatures transforms into the body of a woman. She wakes up and
sees the camera/audience and while trying to form a relationship with it, parts of her
body change into her components again. She vomits herself up when she tries to utter
her first word.

BIOGRAPHY


Somayeh Khakshoor was born in Mashhad, Iran in 1981. She graduated from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad in English Language and Literature. She submitted her thesis "A Study of Stop Motion Capabilities to Represent Grotesque, Psychic and Surreal Worlds" and as an assignment made her first film "thanaros" and received her M.A. in Animation from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran.

BIOGRAPHY


Chanon Treenet is an animator and a painter. He was born and raised in Thailand. He received Bachelor of Architecture from Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok and recently graduated with distinction in MA Character Animation from Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design, London.
Since he's been practicing drawing and painting skills since a young age, his animation is a combination of hand-drawn drawings and paintings and 2D computer animation animation techniques. The works are based on his artistic styles as well as the knowledge from his previous study in Architecture.

BIOGRAPHY


Bexie grew up in Northwest England. She discovered a passion for animation during a BTEC National Diploma in Multimedia course. The emphasis here was on thorough research, which she follows to this day and she enjoys films with a documentary quality and directors who choose to stay close to the truth with their stories.
Bexie has a BA(Hons) in Animation from Farnham, where she was encouraged to express herself as an individual. Her student films, Britain and Ever Hear a Postman Whistle have won awards and had screenings at various festivals in the UK, Germany, and France and Britain was screened at LAAF in Los Angeles in 2012.
Bexie likes to explore unusual approaches when making films. She enjoys working with fabric because it has a tangible textural quality and she aims to bring back the craft and handmade quality of film.
After graduating from National Film and Television School, Bexie aspires to make animated films, which should be creative, abstract, full of playful ideas and a bit controversial, but always also showing the comedic side of life, which is very important to her.

Born in 1978 in Marseille, Jonathan Laskar studied visual arts at the University of Aix-en-Provence (France) and architecture at the Bauhaus University of Weimar (Germany). After working as an architect and participating at many competitions, Jonathan Laskar studied animation at the Lucerne University. With the graduation-film "De terre et d'encre", Jonathan Laskar signs his fist animated short film.

"The Silent Melody" is a story about a poor boy who dreams of being a violinist.
Through chance, he comes across a magical violin, with it he can play wonderful
music but unfortunately nobody can hear him. Despite his solitude, he maintains the
courage to play. In the end, the boy decides to discard the violin in order to return to
his old life with a new perspective on life.

BIOGRAPHY


Jinfeng Li is a 3D animator born and raised in China, currently living in Queens, New York.He got a Bachelors Degree in Digital Arts at Communication University of Nanjing, China. During this period he focused on Motion Graphics and Postproduction. After that he changed his aim towards 3D animation and received a Masters of Fine Arts from Pratt Institute. He has completed several animated films and through this process has gained experience developing a storyline, doing pre and post production, and creatively directing a short film.

D, the main character, lives alone in a small city in a world where everything is made
to make people happy. Almost everyone is extremely happy and have absolutely
everything that they might need or want in terms of palpable things. Unhappy people
are gradually forced away from society and become legends that people only hear
about. D is one of the few last unhappy people in the world and struggles to continue
living in that world.

BIOGRAPHY


Born in Rm-Sarat, Andreia Dobrota attended the "Margareta Sterian" art High school in Buzau and continued on her art passion with the National University or Art, Bucharest. In August 2013 she graduated from a Master of Animation at AKV St. Joost Academy in Breda, Netherlands.
In September 2010 started working on the weekly televised animation show called "D-ale noastre" which was broadcasted on TvSat channel, a local network primarily available for the south east regions of Romania. A satire on the political, economical and social aspects of Romania, the show ended after 115 episodes in April 2013. One of the episodes was screened at the "Filmul de piatra" short film festival in Piatra Neamt in 2011.
Andreia Dobrota makes her animation festival debut in 2010 at Anim'est animation festival with the short film "Mad world". Two years later she attends the same festival with a 3D animation called "UNARTE" about the experience of a student at the National University of Art in Romania. The same movie was also screened at the "Princeton student film & video" festival in America and the "Flip"
festival in the UK.
The graduation film "Get happy or get out" about a man who's false happiness ends up suffocating him was made in collaboration with other young artists and got great reviews from its release. It has been screened at Expootoons in Argenting, HAFF in the Netherlands and Fete de l'anim in France.

BIOGRAPHY


Mitchell Zemil is currently studying film and animation at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He focuses on creating strange, unique, and imaginative works which connect emotionally. The scope of his recent projects ranges from a short animation about a girl and her scarf, to an experimental documentary about his hometown, to a live-action short about a bizarre pinata-like creature that washes up on the shore of New York City. When he's not busy with school or personal projects, Mitchell works as a freelance editor and videographer.

Tom Kouris - Born in 1980, graduated from Bezalel Academy of Art in 2008, Photography department. He studied Animation specializing in Stop motion from 2011-2013 in Minshar for Art Academy.
Winner of two years merit scholarship from America-Israel foundation in the years 2007 and 2008.
His film "Sweet Dreams" together with Alon Mesholam participated in Jerusalem film festival 2012, his film "Chair and Table" participated in Mosaic film festival in Michigan, USA 2012, and his work "Regulator" was shown in Jafa Museum in the exhibition "Mini Art" 2013. He Lives and works in Tel-Aviv, Israel.
Roni Rashkes - Born in 1984, fourth year Student, specializing in Classic Animation in the Animation department of Minshar for Art Academy, her film "Let it pee" together with Roy Tsour participated in Jerusalem film festival 2012, her film "Lady in the Water" was shown in Jafa Museum in the exhibition "Mini Art" 2013. she Lives, Studies and works in Tel-Aviv, Israel.

BIOGRAPHY


Moritz Poth, born 20. June 1984 in Aachen, is living in Ludwigsburg. He is a trained information technology assistant as well as a media and sound designer. In the past he has worked in production and post-production at CHBP Society of Image and Sound. Furthermore he is a freelance editor, assistant editor and DIT/DataWrangler. Currently he is studying montage/editing at the Film Academy Baden-Wόrttemberg.

Rafael Starman, born 20. June 1987 in Vienna, is living in Ludwigsburg and Austria. He was trained in film and photography at HTBLVA Ortweinschule in Graz. In the past he has worked as a cameraman and editor for Steiermark 1 TV in Graz as well as a freelance cameraman since 2010. Currently he is studying image composition/cinematography at the Film Academy Baden-Wόrttemberg.
