Vladimir D. Kanic is a versatile interdisciplinary artist whose diverse practice spans filmmaking, photography, music, visual art and computer science. He uses different artistic and tech tools to create art outside of the scope of traditional boundaries. The Atelier Collectif (Collective Workshop) is an animation workshop for non-professionals, gathered around animated short film projects. Every decision is taken by the group, from the script to the sound design. These films are created with professional means and transferred to 35 mm film. They collected about 20 prizes (Brussels, France, Russia, Portugal, Japan, etc.). 'No-go zone' is the 16th film of the Atelier Collectif.

Nicolas Bianco-Levrin and Julie Rembauville are prolific animation film­makers and children's book authors who have worked together regularly since 2003. They have co-directed 27 short films using various techniques (stop-motion, paper cut-out and drawings). These include Baptistin l'imbattable (2006), Ailleurs (2008), [R] (2010) and Ben Hora (2010), It's a dog's life (2012), Minoule (2014), all of which made their mark at several international festivals. In 2006, their book La rue et le machino and companion film Le machino won the Encre et sels d'argent award for graphic design in the book-DVD category from France's Centre international d'études en littérature jeunesse (CIELJ). They are currently developing a new film based on Bianco-Levrin's book series Kroak. It's a Dog's Life is the duo's first collaboration with the NFB, and was co-produced with Folimage after winning the SACD short film project award at the 2010 Annecy International Animation Festival.

Claire Inguimberty When she was a child, she liked writing stories and drawing. She continued after high school with cinema studies. She learned editing at BTS Jacques Prévert. After one year in drawing prepa, she joining EMCA (Ecole des Métiers du Cinéma d'Animation) in Angoulême. During three years, she experimented animation techniques and discovered an exciting environment. After being graduated, she realized her first professional short film, co-directed with Francis Gavelle: "Cour de récré" (Playground).

Francis Gavelle Born in the suburbs of Paris, in 1963. French critic, Francis Gavelle is, since 1998, the producer of a show dedicated to literature, music and cinema for an independant radio (Radio Libertaire). From 2001 to 2011, he worked as member of the Short Film Commission, for the Cannes Film Festival's Critics' Week, and was, in 2012, juree of the "Caméra d'or Prize". Otherwise, he is a member of the animation committee for the Césars (the french Academy Awards) and initiated, in 2015, for the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, the "André Martin Award Jury".

Based in Utrecht, the Netherlands, Patrick Schoenmaker (1980) has been working as a professional designer since 1999. Starting as a comic book artist, he decided to pursue a career in animation soonafter. He graduated from the Utrecht School of the Arts in 2009 with his short, 'the Itch', which won multiple awards at film festivals worldwide. In 2006 he worked on the feature film "The Secret of Kells" as a keyposing artist. He currently works a member of the animators collective "Frame Order" as a designer and storyboard artist. Patrick also designs prints and trading cards for various Lucasfilm properties.

In 2002, they graduated from the Willem de Kooning Academy, Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences. Sois de Traca is the collaborative duo formed by animation filmmakers María Álvarez and Elisa Morais. They met while studying engineering and together gradually turned to hand-drawn animation and storytelling. Directors: Stephanie Lansaque and Francois Leroy Birth: Stephanie Lansaque: 1978/09/04 in Marseille, France, François Leroy: 1978/05/21 in Caen, France. Biography: Francois Leroy studied animation and Stephanie Lansaque has worked as an art director for magazine and edition. In 2002, they traveled to Asia for the first time. They loved the atmosphere so much that they decided to make their film "Goodbye Mister Chu" which talks about Vietnamese traditions and the lost soul's festival. In 2009, they released "Mei Ling" which takes place in Hong Kong. "Red River, Song Hong", produced in 2012, talks about Vietnam on a more social angle. "Cafe Froid" is their fourth short film. Between two personal projects, they use to work as technicians and directors for the company "Je Suis Bien Content" on TV series, video clip, feature films...

Documentary-based animation about a dream that eventually comes true in a film. A 10-year old girl longed for a puppy as a birthday present. Her dissappointment was very big when instead puppy she got father she had no idea he was still alive. This documentary based film tells a story about a very long-standing dream that kept him alive through many years and actually will come true only now, through this film.

The Legacy of Rubies, Ebele Okoye (GERMANY / NIGERIA 2015, 28')

Mfalme, a young forest boy is kidnapped and brought to the strange palace of Airegin, with the claim that he is the blood son of the dying King Obankosi and the chosen successor to the throne. Not just that, he is given a mandatory assignment which he has to fulfill before he can either accept or reject their offer. So, accompanied by the little palace boy with whom he struck up a friendship, he is forced on a journey he least reckoned with.

Ebele Okoye holds a Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design/Illustration** from the IMT Enugu, Nigeria. She migrated to Germany in the year 2000. After a post graduate programme at the University of Cologne, a design-study stint at the University of Applied Sciences Duesseldorf, and a traineeship at the West German Broadcasting Corporation, WDR, Ebele Okoye furthered in Animation at the International Film School (ifs) Cologne Upon graduation in 2004, she worked as a studio animator before going independent with own films as well heading international Co-productions, one of which is Kurt Schwitters “Anna Blume”, winner of the 2007 Robert Bosch Foundation Promotional Prize for Animation as well as the Ritter Prize at the 2010 Zebra Poetry Film Festival Berlin amongst others. Fascinated by the abstract connection between spoken words and moving images, uncommon thoughts on common things, most of her animation works are based on poetry. Her visual translation of Poetry into animation involves the works of other German authors like Simone Kanter, Ulrike Almut Sandig and Björn Kuhligk

A two-time winner of the Africa Movie Academy Awards in Animation, as well as the Focus Features Africa First Short Film programme, Ebele Okoye is the founder and co-ordinator of Shrinkfish Media Lab (smedLAB), an audiovisual training initiative focusing on exchange of knowledge between European professionals and young artistic talents in the West African region. She resides in Berlin since 2008 where she is also fully active as a Web designer, Media and branding expert, while painting occasionally still. Some of her works can be seen at her website.
